I just wondered if their is any ways to tell if its solid silver. I have ran a magnet over it and it is not metal. It looks to me like silver but is their any real way to tell. This piece is about 30-55 years old.I got my grandfathers old belt buckle from the 50t's today. I was told it was silver any advice on how to tell?
It should be stamped, if not take it to a jeweller.
