Thanks for anyone who can help!I need some expert advice on Nikon cameras i am looking to buy?
Of the two cameras the D80 is the better camera however it is older than the D60. The D80 has been replaced by the D90.

The biggest and most important difference between the two is that the D80 has a built in auto focus motor. The D60 does not have an auto focus motor so in order for the auto focus to work you need to have a lens with a focus motor (AFi and AFs). You can however manually focus them. With the D80 you don't have to worry about that. That said there are plenty of AFi and AFs lenses. You should be able to find what you need.

Now as far as what lens to get. For closeup or macro work your best choice is the Nikkor 105mm F2.8 micro. It is not cheap though at $750. It is an AFs lens so it will auto focus on both cameras. Though with macro you will end up manually focusing a lot.I suggest that you also get the kit lens as you may find just having the one prime lens a bit limiting.I need some expert advice on Nikon cameras i am looking to buy?
