I want to build a garage or buy one any advice?

I bought a house 8 months ago and now I see that I need a garage badly. I am thinking of buying one and have it attached to my house any suggestions. If you have had it done or know about the process please let me know. I see that there are companies on the web that sell car garages but I am not too sure of the process. I also want to match my shingle wood home.I want to build a garage or buy one any advice?
Have it built as package products like this are junk. Besides, you want this to look like it is original to the house as you've described. If you want, review who I am and go to my website to contact me directly. If you do I'll see if I can help you with design, costs, and maybe someone to do this for you.

If you want add an attached garage that matches the house exterior and design, you will want to consult with a design-build remodeling firm or architect. The garages you are seeing online are probably stand-alone buildings in a few styles not intended for the use you describe.

Adding a garage can add a lot of value and utility to your property. You will get the best results and highest resale value by ';doing it right'; and getting a professional to design a garage addition specifically for your house.
you'd be better to contact the local people who either will build it from the ground up or manufacture them, deliver them, and set them up.Matching your shingles won't be a problem.

If it is too expensive to connect it to the house, you could set it close and add a covered breezeway...or enclosed ';hall';.

stay local (within 50 miles), with whoever you choose to do it. Get several estimates.
Find a local carpenter that does good work. Get references of work he has done in the community and go see it and talk to the people who hired him. If he doesn't want to give references, keep[ looking. It sounds like you need a custom built structure to match existing house.
the best way to do it is get a qualified contractor (carpenter) to build it. ask him to match it to your existing house. a builder will charge to much so will any bigger company.
