Going to the Casino tonight for the first time, any advice?

I'm going expecting to lose any money I make of course, lol. But what are some fun, easy games I'm not going to go broke on? I've never been to a casino before and I don't want to spend a whole lot of money, but what is a good amount to just play around with?Going to the Casino tonight for the first time, any advice?
Can you spot me $100 before you go. I promise I'll pay you back!

As an avid blackjack and poker player who has played some of the other games as well, I personally to a newbie would recommend blackjack. Reason is poker is a little intimidating and when you don't know the rules the sharks like me will eat you alive :-P yum. lol jk. If you know how to play poker though you can spend 24 hours at a table and still not go broke. (I've done 12 hours but some people are really sick with it :)

Blackjack ($100 - $200 on the table. find the $5 minimum bet table): Blackjack is what I'd suggest 1st to you because it has the lowest house edge. almost like flipping a coin. half the time the casino wins. half the time you win. Unless you learn how to count cards, then the 45/55 in the casinos favor becomes 45/55 in your favor so it is somewhat beatable if you want to spend the weeks to learn how to do that. too much work if you ask me. but with blackjack you'll sit down and if you have a 100 or 200 or whatever, you can sit for a long time, watch everyone around you to see how they play, learn from them and sooner or later you'll be making money, losing money or at least breaking even and the time will fly.

Note: if you really don't have a lot to spend then try to put $60 minimum but it's much more fun putting $100. remember $5 minimum bet table, not the $10 or $15 ones.

Roulette ($50 to $100 on the table): fun fun fun. Strictly a gambling game though. There's no way to win at roulette unless you're psychic (like me :) lol jk. the house edge in roulette is about 5.25% or 55.25 against 44.75% minimum in their favor. The thing is there's no flexibility there like black jack cause it's all up to a little ball falling on a red or black number from 1 - 36. The roulette guy will teach you how to play if it's a table with no one else there or maybe one other person, so just find a slow one and say ';excuse me, this looks fun, how do I play it?'; Most people are nice and will take time to explain. Pure gamble, no strategy but a lot of fun and I love it.

Table Poker against the dealer $50 to $100: there are tons of table poker games against the dealer like pai gow, chinese poker, versions of holdem. I don't play any of these but the one time I did when I had no clue how to player no limit holdem, it was actually a lot of fun to play these games. You'll often find them right near the blackjack tables. Same type of set up and honestly I think you might enjoy it.. Usually the dealer and a fellow player will explain the rules and you ask nicely. Especially if you're a pretty girl :-D guys have one track minds sigh*

Note: same note as for blackjack. not much money in your pocket then try $60 minimum on table and hopefully $5 bets or less

Craps ($0 - $50): more of a losing game unless you know a little about it like my friend who kept betting on the ';don't come';. Everyone gave him mean looks for betting against the dice roller since it's bad luck but he figured, hey, it's all about making money and most times the die roller is gonna lose. The problem is when you roll certain numbers like 7 they clear the board and everyone loses a bet. The odds are against you for sure but my friend did make money but it's pure gamble and not that easy to make money at.

Slots ($0 - $50): slots are a losing proposition. If you like the feeling of flushing money down the toilet then I suggest you play slots. Slots is like lotto. a dollar and a dream.... but when the odds are better to get struck by lightening than winning the big million dollar jackpot..... (thats actually true, it's more probable to get struck by lightening) I'd just stick to poker personally where the better player has the edge even with the gamble involved. I still play slots anyway, but never for more than 40 bucks when I go for a weekend.

Anyway I don't think I left much out but if you're planning on losing money and staying for a while like a weekend or longer, then play all of the games and see what you like. You'll have a blast. I went to Vegas this year and I was on cloud nine so trust me, any casino you go to, 9 time out of 10 you're in for a good time! even if you go home busted broke :)

Blackjack, the different blackjack like table poker variants, roulette and some slots. go for it.

btw if you win the jackpot, you can ship my 5% to 1000 evere............... :) good luck at the casino!Going to the Casino tonight for the first time, any advice?
Only play blackjack if you actually know basic strategy. A lot of people commenting here don't seem to know how to play very well (hint:mathematically, 16 vs. 8 is not a very close call--you hit in that situation). If you know basic strategy, it's the best odds, but if you don't know how to play correctly, it's not a great game.

Pass/don't pass line on craps is like 1.4%. If you don't know how to play blackjack, that's a better bet (playing blackjack poorly is easily 5% house edge).

Pai Gow poker is an interesting game. Odds about like craps, but it's very slow losing (or winning) because so many hands are a push. You probably don't want to play that because it's a bit tricky to learn, but it's a very slow game.

Here's a great table from the Wizard of Odds. Make sure to learn how to play the game if play decisions matter. For some games (like pass/don't pass in craps or roulette) they don't. http://wizardofodds.com/houseedge

If you're playing slots, people seem to have fun with nickel slots on like $50. You need perhaps $200 for $5 blackjack or craps, and depending on when and where you're going, such a table might not be available. You might want to look into it.
blackjack has best odds. let the dealer bust if you can. holding a 16 and he shows an 8. you hit you probaly will bust, you don't hit he might have 18 but maybe not an you are still in the game. nickle slots are fun too, and usually lets you lose your money slower. good luck!
be careful but take some risk man. you never know wat you can get yourself or get yourself into man. use abput $100 tops, be careful man.I know alot of people that are addicted to going to the casino. it's just the thrill of the risk, man.
have fun and gamble wisely

Black Jack is easy to learn and play

craps is easy to learn and allot of fun
Stick with Roulette. Forget Blackjack unless you REALLY know how to play it correctly.

Roulette has a nice, slow pace. Take your time, and good luck!
believe it or not you can win lots of money on the nickel and penny machines, have fun!
Start at a low betting table, try blackjack, slots, and roulette. I'm sure you'll like those
try roulette or slots
