Help please with advice about herbs to help conceive?

I read on a fertility website that chasterberry ( angus cactus, vitex ) and dong quai can help balance hormones and help to assist fertility and menstrual problems. these are both herbal tablets which you can get from health shops. I was just wondering if anyone else has had sucess falling pregnant with the help of herbal remedies. I have had tests done and everything seems ok and has been put down as unexplained fertility, i have been trying now for 4 years and am starting to think i will never become a mother, nearly all my friends have children and i feel abnormal. Can anyone give me some hope. thanks to anyone who answers.Help please with advice about herbs to help conceive?
Herbal remedies are not regulated by the fda, and therefore should not be used in pregnancy.

Any company can make any claim about their herbs, and it could be completely false, and there is no office that regulates this in the USA.

Some companies have been caught putting COTTON in some of their herbal capsules. There is no policing of herbs. They could harm you or your baby or both.

My husband is really into Mexican herbs (he's mexican)...he just bought me some twigs called ';estafiata'; to make tea...he went on and on about how good it will be for me.

I read the translation on the internet....it is harmful in pregnancy. I am glad I didn't take it.

Even some forms of chamomile are harmful in pregnancy, so be very careful.

For fertility, don't rely on herbs. If it has been 4 years, please see a doctor. Do you chart your bbt and take ovulation tests?

I am a huge believer in fertility awareness. Have you gotten your hubby tested for infertility?

Best of luck.Help please with advice about herbs to help conceive?
If u have 'unexplained fertility' then i guess you are 1 of the lucky ones out of those hu are TTC. i have a condition called PCOS so herbs are of no use to me as i need drugs. for u herbs could be the answer. you may just have an imbalance of hormones and herbs can re-balance it for you and create the perfect conditions neccessary in ur womb to concieve a baby. i cannot guarantee u will get pregnt but it is something you should try b4 goin to doctors for IVF. herbs cant really harm you. heres a list of things to try.

Ovulex- a blend of herbs, a complete package to aid ferility.

Fertilaid or Fertilityblend - same as above. personal research on both i found that ovulex has a better variety of herbs than fertilaid so my personal choice would be ovulex.

Fertile CM - for conception to occur a women needs to produce a lot of fertile Cervical Mucus around ovulation time because even though you ovulate, without abundant fertile CM the sperm cannot travel up to the egg. This product may increase the Fertile CM amount.

Agnus Castus - This herb balances a womens hormone level if it is imbalanced. The main ingredient in both fertilaid and ovulex is agnus castus.

Pre-seed - a lubricant used while having intercourse if you are dry down there. this lubricant is sperm freindly unlike other lubricants.

My advice: you are right in saying about agnus castus and dong quai are helpful for ferility. however i feel that a mixture of a variety of good herbs in the right quantity is better than individual ones.

ovulex and fertilaid are blended with all the correct herbs in appropriate quantities which will balance you and not only help you to concieve but wil also create the correct conditions to prapere the womb for the baby. Fertilad and ovulex will be better than agnus castus and dong quai alone.

How ever if you take agnus castus and gong quai, be sure to stop as soon as you find out u are pgnt. the reason why they say that is because these herbs balance your hormone levels, however when you are pregnant your body hormonme level changes and agnus castus can affect that balance.
