Does anyone have any advice on how to grow my damaged hair over the summer?

I have brown curley hair, and I got it cut to beneath my earlobes in the second grade. I am now in the seventh grade, and my hair is just now two inches below my shoulders, and I havn't got it cut since [execpt for when I get my dead ends cut] When my hair is not straightened, it puffs out like a giant afro, so I have been straightning it and putting it into a bun. I am going to be trying to grow it out some over the summer. I have asked my mom, she said prenatnal vitamins would be too potent for me, seeing that I am only 13, and she doesn't know any other ways to help me. If anyone has any suggestions, please help me out. If you don't have any tips on growing it, maybe you can help me with a differant style? Thank you, Chii-ChanDoes anyone have any advice on how to grow my damaged hair over the summer?
Try (good at the beach) leaving conditioner in your hair and pull it up in a bun, pony tail, french knot, ect. Your hair grows quicker in warm weather-1'; per month. I'd suggest trying a regular multi vitamin that will help it grow healthier too.Does anyone have any advice on how to grow my damaged hair over the summer?
Try to stay away from irons unless you need your hair to look really good on a certain day. Also stay out of swimming pools because of the chlorine and get a very good conditioner. Some of the leave conditioners really smooth out fuzzy hair.
Your mom is right, pre-natal vitamins may not be the answer for you since you are only 13. I did read online that hair is mostly comprised of protein and to encourage hair growth, you should adhere to a diet rich in protein and also foods that are high in B vitamins.

What you also can try is chemically straightening your hair. They now have many non-harsh straightenting chemicals you can use to straighten your curly hair. One to try is Phytospecific Index 1 or 2, depending on your hair.

Check out website: www.hairboutique.com for my review on that specific hair straightener.

As for a cut, avoid a bob, if you have thick curly hair, it will only look like a triangle shape in bad humidity. Try longer layers to give it shape.

Good luck!
