Hi I need to have more torque but also more top end speed with a 50 cc engine any advice would be appreciated.

I am looking for 40-45mph with the ability to still pull. Would crawler gear be able to achieve this?

Can any one suggest any way of achieving this?Hi I need to have more torque but also more top end speed with a 50 cc engine any advice would be appreciated.
If it must be a 50cc then ...upgrade the exhaust.... install jet kit in carb and port %26amp; polish the intake not much else if this is not enough give it to your little brother.Hi I need to have more torque but also more top end speed with a 50 cc engine any advice would be appreciated.
A 4stroke Honda would give you more torque %26amp; top end speed. Why not get a 250cc and save yourself a lot of time %26amp; bother....
You can have more torque and you can have more top speed, alas you cannot have both, not significant amounts with a small motor anyway. One relies on combustion efficiency and the other relies on engine speed. Tune your motor to increase one, and lose out on the other. How do you plan on losing the extra heat generated?

1 HP is nearly the same output as a 1 bar electric fire.
Torque and top end are like oil and water.

Step up and buy a Honda XR 80 or better yet, a 250.

Good luck. Go drink a glass of milk and read the classifieds.
To get more torque out of a 50cc bike you'll spend more on mods than the bikes worth. And, I imagine that there is not a lot of aftermarket performance parts for that application. Best solution is to step up to a bigger bike.

Another thought is power to weight ratio and to reduce the drag co-efficiency. Dropping some weight, from you or the bike and maybe some type of windshield to reduce drag may help top speed.
What kind of engine have you got? A two-stroke should easily manage 40-45 but have less torque than a four-stoke which should also reach 40-45 if ungoverned and derestricted. I can't imagine that a crawler gear assembly will improve things.

Easiest way to go faster is to lose weight from the bike.
It's a 50cc bike. You may as well stuff fivers up the chimney as try to increase the power.

And no, your crawler gear idea is completely wrong.
Its one or the other on a 50cc and not much of either no matter what you do. What's the bike? Have a look around and see if you can't get a 70cc top end conversion kit for it or something. Better still, get a bigger bike.
get a 1 tooth less front sprocket for acceleration and a 2 tooth extra rear sprocket for top end.
buy a proper bike and let your mum have her hair dryer back!
that thing was made to crawl.
