Any advice for selling items on ebay?

I've already donated some of my clothes to thrift stores and to the Boys and Girls Club, but I would like to sell some of my name brand clothes.

I've never used Ebay before, so does anyone have any suggestions?Any advice for selling items on ebay?
YEAH! THINK LIKE A BUYER. Most important tip I can give you. Nothing more frustrating when I try to buy clothes than to run into idiot sellers who don't tell you anything about the fabric content (we need EXACT % as it appears on the label!!!!!!!!!!!) and TAKE EXACT MEASURES and post them plainly. As in front chest armpit to armpit, back armpit to armpit. Shoulder to shoulder (seam to seam), length, you get the picture. YOU CANNOT GIVE TOO MUCH PERTINENT info.

I am so sick of sellers who give no info and go on and on about themselves (I am selling these because bla bla blah, WHO CARES?! THAT'S NOT GONNA HELP ME WANT TO BUY IT) If I have to email you to ask something that should OBVIOUSLY be in the ad I won't bother and guess what? Others move on to the next ad too and you won't sell it!

Also make sure to write if the item SMELLS! Nothing I hate more than to receive an item and it reeks of perfume! NEVER USE FRAGRANCED DETERGENT OR FABRIC SOFTENER. EVER. Those are highly toxic and can send a buyer with allergies into shock and you can get sued. I did. And I won. If your clothes stink it's your responsibility to say so. If you're a smoker make sure to indicate this so that you ONLY sell to other sick individuals with the same filthy habit.

MAKE SURE TO WRITE THAT YOUR ITEMS ARE USED! If you don't and someone believes they're buying a new item there will be hell to pay.

You see what think like a buyer means now? Now go and think like one or be prepared to pay the consequences. Paypal can be pretty harsh on sellers and yank your earnings right from under your nose!

Follow these basic tips and you'll be alright kid. Nothing against you, sick of idiot sellers who write dumb ads. Good luck.Any advice for selling items on ebay?
eBay is very nice and good brand name clothes do sell pretty well there.

Main thing you are gonna want to do is get a PayPal account if you don't already have one. They are free and the majority of people pay through this method.

Other than that just make sure you describe your products as best as you can. Include specific clothe lengths and pictures.

One other thing people sometimes recommend is buying a few cheap items before you try and sell your own so you can build up a little reputation and people will know they can trust you.

Hope that helps.
Hi,

Make sure that you offer fair prices and thay your items are well described. It is very important. Use more than just a couple of sentences to describe your item. Make it as accurate as possible.

Another important thing is pictures. Make sure they are of good quality and the item is well visible. Also, if there are problems with the item be honest and write it in the description.
Try selling on bonanzle or ioffer.

Less fees, you can set up booths for free.
