Need advice on high school tutoring standards?

I have recently took a tutoring job but it seems harder than it looks. Anyways, what materials can I use to execute this CA Standard: R.2.4 Synthesize the content from several sources or works by a single author dealing with a single issue; paraphrase the ideas and connect them to other sources and related topics to demonstrate comprehension.Need advice on high school tutoring standards?
-Use the BBC skills website (google to find the actual site)

-teacherspayteachers.com has good resources on paraphrasing

That standard basically deals with putting together a project with multiple sources so if I were to write a paper on ';dogs'; I could either use multiple authors or one author's many books on dogs. A pulled together paper would be the synthesized product and by integrating multiple sources comprehension becomes evident.

Materials to use:

*graphic organizer (try readingquest.org)

*library books/internet/sources

*google sites related to ';Paraphrasing'; or bloom's taxonomy synthesis level
  • colon cleansing
